Beach Club, Inc.

April 16, 2021

Dear Fellow Members,

We had hoped that COVID would be behind us for the 2021 season but, although there is reason to be optimistic, we do have a ways to go before things return to normal.  The executive committee continues to monitor CDC and state guidelines to be sure we are providing a safe environment for all members.  Although we will approach the season with caution and things may be a bit different, we anticipate fewer restrictions.  The following is what we have at this time. More information will be coming to you in the next few weeks and months.

Club Opening-The Club will open on Saturday, May 29th with the deck configuration the same as last season to allow for distancing between tables.

Events-We will have some events with a modified format.  The Opening Cocktail Party will be outside (weather permitting) on Saturday, June 12th.  Logistics for food and drink will need to be worked out.  The Annual Meeting will once again be outside (weather permitting) on Sunday, June 27th.  Events beyond June are yet to be determined with more information to follow.

Guests-A limited number of guests per day and evening will be allowed this season.  We are looking at a reservation system as well as possibly implementing member only day(s).  Specifics on guest rules will be updated closer to our opening.

Personnel-Our fine management team of Jeff, Matt, Nicole and Jared will be back for another summer!   Staffing is just about complete.

Facilities-Sky High Roofing of Maine replaced all shingles in early April.  The roofs look great and now there is no worry about leaks in any buildings.  Thank you to the Board of Directors from their positive response to this needed work.

Financial-The Club continues to be in good shape financially. We were able to complete the bathroom renovation and roof replacement without an additional assessment. Please be sure to pay your spring bill by April 30th.

We ask for your patience and cooperation as we continue to navigate some choppy waters.  We, like you, can not wait for smooth sailing!

Sincerely,

Gail Sudduth

President
